Mood Boards You Loved
From rich plum tones to indulgent chocolate mocha and more, these were the mood boards that captured your attention, and for good reason! From bold colour moments to calm, considered palettes, each board reflects the design directions that defined 2025. Explore the favourites and revisit the looks you loved most. We’re still obsessed with these, too!
Your Favourite Home Tours
It’s time to take a trip to visit your favourite home tours of 2025 across Australia.
Mulberry Manor
With four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and three living spaces, Mulberry Manor 2.0 holds a modern, moody Queenslander style across a generous 450 sqm. It’s a house that hugs back, grounding you in calm while still delivering considered moments of design. Let’s have another peek through the doors of the next big project by Kate, which is tucked into the rolling landscape of the Sunshine Coast.

Kensington Park
Let’s revisit a still, soulful, and suburban story and explore a Kensington Park Renovation by Alchemists ID. If you were to think of a peaceful retreat, you’d imagine a place where light lingers, and life slows. That’s exactly what energy this sandstone symmetrical villa radiates, through its stunning designs by Alchemists ID, which have come to life with a sense of calm, connection, and care. Tucked away in the leafy suburb of Kensington Park in South Australia, the home underwent an extension and renovation to suit its growing family. Let’s step inside again to see how it’s been impeccably designed to balance the liveliness of family life with an atmosphere of tranquillity.

Corrie Residence
Let’s rewind to when we toured a home that’s the physical form of what golden hour feels like. Nestled in Corlette by the shores of Port Stephens in New South Wales, the Corrie Residence is a striking example of how timeless design, tactile finishes, and an appreciation for natural light can elevate a family home into a sanctuary. Designed by Interior Designer She Is Liv, this residence balances minimalism with warmth, offering a space that feels both sculptural and deeply liveable. It embodies golden hour light; softly diffused and glowing with quiet radiance.

Most Loved Products
As our SSB community knows, we value our brand partners and their commitment to quality, innovation, and thoughtful design. Throughout 2025, these were the products you returned to time and time again, saved to mood boards, specified in projects, and loved for their ability to elevate spaces both visually and functionally. From timeless staples to standout new releases, our brand partners’ new 2025 collections played a key role in shaping the look and feel of the year. Let’s cast our minds back to a few of the collections that launched and inspired mood boards and projects.

As we approached the warmer months, Kave Home encouraged us to embrace endless summer days with furniture that collects stories and grows richer in character over time. Their new outdoor collection allowed us to savour the sunshine and soak up the golden glow of long afternoons with an outdoor space that feels like a true dreamy escape.
WK Stone invited us to step into two chapters of design reimagined: a modern revival of Italian Terrazzo, and a bold expansion of their Quantum Zero® recycled glass collection. Together, they rewrote what it means to design with beauty, conscience, and creativity.

Mocka’s new outdoor collection gave us the beauty of slow mornings with the sun on your face, lunches that spill into the afternoon, and golden-hour dinners where conversations unfold. It makes us feel like a holiday is waiting just outside the back door!
Let’s not forget the Artefact Collection by Tim Neve x Urban Road. The collection carries soul, offering depth, texture, and a sense of intention that transforms a house into a home.
Charity Campaign with WCS
Back in August, we partnered with Women’s Community Shelters for Homelessness Week to extend the power of design beyond the visual and into real lives. By launching our ‘Donate $5 and Tag 5’ campaign, we helped to raise funds that opened new shelters, expanded WCS’s impact, and offered vital support services that help women rebuild their lives. This campaign reminded us of the privilege of design, where we encouraged building something bigger than beautiful homes, and helped to build hope for those who need it most. At the core of our SSB values of integrity and community is a belief that design can be a force for meaningful, positive change, and this is something we take into 2026 and beyond.
Project Studio
Can you believe that Project Studio only launched this year (because we can’t!)? The number of projects that have come to life, the incredible feedback that we have received, and designer engagement have made it feel like Project Studio was always here. It’s crazy to think it only launched in January! So, what’s happened this year?

The Launch
From day one, Project Studio was designed to simplify the way designers work, bringing mood boards, product specifications, scheduling, and collaboration into one streamlined space. Over the course of 2025, we watched designers embrace the platform and turn concepts into projects with clarity and confidence.

Mood Board to Real Life
Throughout the year, we celebrated standout projects created using Project Studio, including community favourites like Solara by Sage & Cove Interiors at the start of the year and, more recently, Bonnie’s Place by Form Interiors Group. These projects showcased not only beautiful outcomes but also the power of sharing the process from early ideas through to considered product selections. We love seeing your projects come to life, and we’re excited to see more!
Designer Spotlights
One of the most exciting moments this year was shining a light on designers using Project Studio through our Designer Spotlights - we loved speaking to our SSB community and seeing their design story, directly understanding how Project Studio played a part! There were insights into how Project Studio helped bring the gorgeous Campbell project by Kanla Perla to fruition, the secret to creating thoughtful spaces with Flowe Interiors, and YDM Design Studio’s inspiring story of its rise within the industry, to name a few.

Masterclass and Webinars
To support our growing community, we hosted a series of webinars and walkthroughs that unpacked real workflows, new features, and best-practice tips. These sessions gave designers a behind-the-scenes look at how Project Studio can save time, reduce admin, and create more space for creativity. More recently, we hosted the Project Studio Masterclass with Sage & Cove Interiors, YDM Studio, and Muse Built, who shared their personalised experience.
As Project Studio continues to evolve, 2025 marked just the beginning, laying the foundation for smarter workflows, stronger collaboration, and even more inspiring projects in the years ahead. We can’t wait to see how SBB designers use it in 2026!
Looking Ahead to 2026
We want to take this moment to thank all of our SSB community, from the students, renovators, and interior designers who are endlessly creative and curious. You’re the reason our mood boards are always full of designs, and our inspiration never runs out! We can’t wait to see what you dream up, design, and bring to life in 2026.
Merry Christmas from all of us at the SBB team; here’s to a happy new year that’s full of passion, energy, big ideas and beautiful spaces.
