Caley Ashpole

Her love of interior styling + for the outdoors (specifically sea shells, coral, palm trees + birds) is constant inspiration for her artwork. As a self-taught artist, inspired by her own paternal Grandfather, Kenneth Smith, an Australian artist circa 1970's, Caley also feels deeply connected to the Kiribati where her maternal Grandfather was born and raised on Abaiang Island. Caley finds the process of designing + painting abstract tropical designs a powerful part of her life. Her husband describes her decor, humour + painting style as "eccentric". Prior to starting her art business, Caley completed a Diploma of Interior Design and worked in the Radio + Broadcasting Industry before becoming a Mother. When her Father passed away suddenly in 2020, it was then she was re-ignited with her love of designing + creating many beautiful art forms. Caley's goal is to make people smile + to really enjoy the joy that comes from decorating a home through her art.
