Interior Design/Decoration

I’m a residential interior designer based in Brisbane, I’m fascinated by our shared human experience of “home” and the built environment, and our constant pursuit to make that experience more comfortable, enjoyable, uplifting, and supportive of our daily lives. I’m also fascinated by the growing body of research that shows the link between our surroundings and our mental health. My goal is to bring that knowledge and awareness into all my projects creating more joy for my clients and in turn leading to positive impacts on health, well-being, and relationships. I have loved interior design since a young age and was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by makers, artisans and all sorts of creative people who inspired and informed me along the way. Despite this early interest, however, it was journalism I chose as my initial career, and I happily worked in radio and print for more than ten years in Ireland (where I’m originally from) and here in Australia. But all through those years the interior design itch just wouldn’t go away. The birth of my daughter provided an opportunity for me to change tack career wise and I returned to study, completing an Associate Certificate in Interior Design at the Dublin Institute of Design, followed by a Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration at Torrens University in Brisbane before establishing my design practice.
