Welcome to the Fairview Project. A sophisticated, yet calming and chic home crafted with the most gorgeous details and strategic design. Located in Sydney, but inspired by the Mediterranean, Fairview Project is a recently completed new build by Lina and Phil Strati, founders of Aesthetic Developments (AD). The aim was to develop a home cemented in authentic connections while balancing functionality and aesthetics, and we think you'll agree when we say they've completely achieved this vision.

Come with us as we take a tour of this captivating home and discover the details that form together to create Fairview.

The Fairview Project began on site with the removal of a pre-existing 1970s home. AD wanted to start with a blank canvas to attain its vision of creating a home with bespoke details, curated features, and an indoor-outdoor connection. Once you step foot into Fairview, it’s immediately evident how masterfully this concept was achieved.

The Fairview home embraces an open and airy design, with the ground floor almost entirely free of internal walls. Its high ceilings, expansive windows, stacker doors, and a skylight allow natural light to flood the space, enhancing the soft neutral palette and organic forms that feature throughout. These elements evoke Mediterranean influences, cultivating a relaxed yet luxurious ambience.

The standout feature of the home, however, is its striking curves, featured both structurally and within the interior design. These curves guide visitors seamlessly from the front door through the spacious open-plan living area, all the way to the backyard.

These Mediterranean influences are beautifully complemented by minimalist principles, such as the colour palette of warm off-whites, beiges, and grounded hues. One thing we love about minimalism is that with this style, texture is often used to create depth and visual interest, which is exactly what AD has achieved at Fairview.

Natural materials, such as marble, travertine, stone, and timber, infuse the home with an abundance of organic texture. Bouclé sofas, brass hardware, and sheer curtains add a layer of dimension to the neutral palette. Even the tones and methods used when painting Fairview were strategically chosen to create interest while maintaining balance.

However, it's the shapes and forms found within Fairview that work to not only enhance the textural elements of the home but elevate the entire space. Like the Wabi Sabi pendant lights hanging in the void, or the fluted island bench in the kitchen. But the stand-out feature would have to be, of course, the spiral staircase.

The bespoke spiral staircase was masterfully custom-designed for the home to be so much more than just a functional addition. Accentuating AD’s vision of creating an authentically connected home, the sculptural design works to connect spaces while featuring as a work of art. It truly is one of the most breathtaking elements we’ve featured here on Style Edit.

Beyond texture, each element, from the natural materials to the organic forms and open-plan design, helps to enhance the home’s connection with the outdoors. And who wouldn’t want to spend their time seamlessly moving between the stunning internal spaces and the exciting external areas of the home? Did we mention the backyard is complete with a putt-putt zone, an outdoor kitchen, and a plunge pool? Yes, please!

It will come as no surprise that since its completion, Aesthetic Developments won an MBA award for the Fairview Project. This project is nothing short of a masterpiece and a complete testament to the work carried out by the team at AD. As a luxury home builder in Sydney, Aesthetic Developments specialises in exclusively designed architectural builds. Lina and Phil are passionate about what they do, which is completely evident when touring the Fairview Project.
